Description

Description

Standards

  • Product
    HD 620; IEC 60502
  • National
    ASE

Applications

  • Underground distribution networks
  • Pipe laying and ground laying
  • Installation in electrical substations

Construction

  • Round copper or aluminium conductor
  • Extruded inner conductor
  • Cross-linked PE insulation (XLPE)
  • Extruded outer semi-conductor
  • Semi-conductive swelling tape
  • SZ concentric copper wire screen
  • Swelling tape
  • Black PE outer sheath, with 2 red longitudinal stripes
  • Three-pole construction:
  • Assembly of three monopolar cables

Properties

  • Longitudinal sealing by two layers of tape which swell in the presence of moisture and prevent the spread of water in the event of an injury to the sheath
  • Outer sheath made of specially abrasion-resistant PE with low shrinkage rate
  • Cross-linked PE insulation (XLPE) with high dielectric strength and low losses
  • Halogen-free

admissible load MV cables

Currents are indicative and given for normal service conditions.

  •  Permanent charge 24h at 100% LF =1.0
  • Conductor temperature 90 ° C

For cable laid in earth in tubes

  • Depth of laying in soil : 1.0 m
  • Max. soil temperatureempérature : 20 °C
  • Soil thermal resistivity: 1.0 °C m/W

For cables placed in the open air

  • Max. air temperature : 30 °C
  • Protected from direct sunlight
  • laid on consoles or cable trays

Grounding:

  • at one end, in this case the induced voltage increases proportionally with the length of the
    the link.

Attention, too high induced voltage can cause a breakdown of the outer sheath during overvoltages
    transient.

  • Either at both ends, which generates circulating currents and therefore more or less acceptable losses..

Correction factor

If the terms of service differ from those set out above, allowable currents must be corrected
taking into account all the correction factors that apply to the installation and service conditions encountered.

Main factors to consider are the following:

  • Variable load, factor taking into account variable load, 10h to 100% and 14h to 60% LF= 0.627
  • Operating temperature
  • Ambient Temperature
  • Thermal soil resistivity, factor taking into account the thermal resistivity of the soil in [°C * m / W]
  • Magnetic armor
