Applications

The planar optical coupler range is designed for broadcast networks and particularly for PON-type optical networks to passively share Central Office (CO) operator services to multiple subscribers

 

These products are ultra-compact, high reliability, high bandwidth and cover the full range of commonly used wavelengths, making them a cost-effective solution for broadcasting optical signals

 

The range of couplers is divided into two main families: 

  1. Standard and mini-module couplers which are characterised by the IN input and OUT outputs on opposite sides. They are integrated into a cassette
  2. Module couplers which have the IN input and OUT outputs on the same side. They are fixed by screwing
